Dear Children's Editor:

"Are you famous?" a third grader asked at one of my author visits.

"Have you heard of me?" I said.

"Nooo," he answered. "But I like your books."

Here is my dilemma. I’m not famous but kids like my books. They have their favorite characters. They carry my joke books around in their pockets. They write me fan letters and want my autograph. They come alive with questions when I visit their schools and I come alive when I am with them.

That is why I write books for children. It is my joy to share my life’s exploration with young people as they experience their own. I am the author of sixteen books and numerous stories, poems, and articles that have appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Ladybug, Highlights for Children, Children’s Magic Window, Chocolate for the Teen’s Dreams, and Gifted Children Monthly among other books and periodicals.

Let me introduce my work to you. Perhaps you know of some of these titles already.
